How can I get listed on HealthEngine.com.au?

We list any medical practitioner qualified to practice in Australia, for free. If you are not listed on HealthEngine, you can send us your details by sending an email to Data@HealthEngine.com.au, or create and pay for a Custom Profile.

My listing is incorrect!

Please report any inaccuracies to us via the "Report an Error" link on the page containing the error. We appreciate your feedback. We will usually try to verify any changes before implementing them.

Custom Profile

Why should I get a Customised Profile?

The main reason to enhance your listing with HealthEngine.com.au, is to shape your referral case-mix to suit your interests, skills and expertise. With increasing consumer use of the internet, having a web-presence is now essential for doctors. Even if you advertise with other directories, we believe that our online database will rapidly become the new standard. If you have a website already, you should link to it from your Custom Profile on HealthEngine to drive more traffic to your site. If you want to spend more money with us, buy some highly-targetted advertising on our Search Results page.

How do I get a Customised Profile?

First, go to the Members Area and create a login. All you need is an email address and a password - this part is free.
Next, create a new Custom Profile and enter your details. You can add as much or as little as you like. Any sections left blank will not be displayed on the website. You can login as many times as you like to edit your profile, until you are happy with the result. This is the best way to build a comprehensive profile that will benefit your practice.
Lastly, when you are happy with your Custom Profile, click on the link to Pay. Credit card transactions are handled by our DirectOne payment gateway, a secure encrypted connection.

When will my Custom Profile go live on HealthEngine.com.au?

We will check your profile for appropriateness of content, and activate your Custom Profile within 48 hours. We reserve the right to withold your Profile from publication on Healthengine if we believe it to contain inaccurate claims or inappropriate content. The final responsibility for honesty and accuracy in your Custom Profile rests with you.
Your profile will be housed in our database, allowing targetted searches on HealthEngine to serve patients with the most useful and relevant matches for their queries. We will also produce a static html web-page that you may tell people about, as part of your web-presence. This page will be indexed by Search Engines on the World Wide Web within about a month, allowing web-users to find your profile when their searches match words or phrases in your Custom Profile.

Advertising Policy

HealthEngine.com.au sells highly targetted advertising that would be of benefit to the general public and doctors using our website. We reserve the right to refuse to sell advertising, in particular, we do not advertise pharmaceutical products.

Advertising slots on our Search Results pages last for 4 weeks, and are sold in 4-week units per postcode for each specialty.

It is possible to purchase advertising slots for multiple postcodes or multiple Specialties, 4 weeks at a time.

We reserve the right to change the price of advertising slots at short notice, before a 4-week unit is purchased. If a particular slot becomes very popular, we may allow advertisers to bid against each other for that slot.
